"Perfect base for exploring Skye"

Tigh Fen has three very comfortable bedrooms on the first floor, this is a typical one and a half storey house, two doubles and one twin room.  All can see over to the Broadford Bay, and Bedroom three, the mulberry room has a window overlooking the mountains.

The bedrooms have blackout blinds on the windows and velux.

All of upstairs is solid oak flooring from British Hardwoods, apart from the bathroom which is tiled flooring.

The upstairs bathroom contains the toilet, a double ended bath and separate shower cubicle.  Hot water is fed by a high pressure water tank.

The Scottish sourced Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash available is from Scottish Fine Soaps.

The Green room

This room has a feature stone wall, where we tried not to conceal the beauty of the original house.

The twin room

Large family kitchen

You can see from this picture that the kitchen is still a work in progress.  The cardboard is only protecting the tiled floors as we finish painting. This should be finished in December 25 so you can check back for an updated picture.

Kitchen is fully equipped with a fan oven, separate grill.  Induction hob, air fryer and microwave. Dishwasher, as well as the normal kettle and a milk frother or hot chocolate velvetiser.

Bench seating and table in here for less formal eating, or keeping the cook company.

With a log burner if you really want to toast up the room.

Open plan into the Utility which has a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Open plan lounge and dining room

From the front door entrance into the house, you will be welcomed into the open plan lounge and dining area.

With a log burning stove and feature stone wall for cosy nights in.

There is also a piano here - though please do not expect it to be totally in tune, it is very old!

There are board games and a tv, but not an intrusively large one.  After all this is the Isle of Skye and a family home.

In this open plan section is a dining table catering for six people with extendable table option if you are having a large spread for sharing.

The solid oak staircase, manufactured in England is here as a centrepiece to the room. Access to the bedrooms is from here on the first floor.
